A Mother's Love

 A Mother's Love
(A message for my mom but a story for everyone to read)
By: WisdomDeath

There are lots of people who can give us advices but the best person to consult is our mothers. I, myself, am not that close to my mother but I love her so much. My dad and I usually have a Father-Daughter day but my mom and I rarely have a day for a Mother-Daughter day.

I hope to have one. You know, a day just for me and my mom—a day to forget all the problems and just have fun.  Even just ONE day to fool around and just share happy thoughts and eat, roam around and laugh.

She never fails to remind me to study hard. She’s a fun mom but she is strict when it comes to my studies. I am not annoyed if she keeps on reminding me to do things—it makes me smile because I know that she still cares.

The heart of a mother is a deep abyss at the bottom of which you will always find forgiveness. ~Honoré de Balzac

I have proven that true. Even I did TOO many mistakes, she still forgives me. When I heard some statements that came from my classmates that they are annoyed with their moms, I felt sad. They don’t know how to appreciate what their mothers are doing for them.

Honestly, there are times wherein I forgot how to appreciate little things but my mom taught me how to appreciate even the tiniest thing offered to me in this world.

When you are a mother, you are never really alone in your thoughts.  A mother always has to think twice, once for herself and once for her child.  ~Sophia Loren, Women and Beauty

True. I don’t know what is on her mind but I can feel that she never forgets to think what’s good for me.

Sometimes, I am just too immature to notice that she has done EVERYTHING for me. Whenever I have problems, she notices it in a SNAP and she helps me to solve those problems. She helped me in EVERY project and I am thankful that she does.

My mom is a great cook and she is the BEST mom. I love her so much.

“All that I am or ever hope to be, I owe to my angel mother.”
― Abraham Lincoln

She is the first one who molded me to become the person I am today. She taught me to be a good person.

A mother is the truest friend we have, when trials heavy and sudden, fall upon us; when adversity takes the place of prosperity; when friends who rejoice with us in our sunshine desert us; when trouble thickens around us, still will she cling to us, and endeavor by her kind precepts and counsels to dissipate the clouds of darkness, and cause peace to return to our hearts.
~Washington Irving

Anyone can turn their back at me and ignore me or can even pretend that they don’t know me but my mom will never leave me. She will always be beside me, ready to listen to my problems, ready to help me, ready to comfort me, she is ALWAYS ready.

Yes, she can be mad at me at times but it doesn’t last long because she loves me and I know that I was the one who’s wrong.

Now, I remembered our retreat. Father Blaise asked us to close our eyes and imagine that we are in a pretty forest.

I closed my eyes and did imagined that I am in a pretty forest, it was easy to imagine it especially with the sounds of bird chirping and the wind blowing towards my face at that moment. We were asked to imagine that a young girl walked towards us and when we looked into the little girl’s eyes…it was our mom….but a child version of her.

What if I was really given a moment like that—be a child again with my mom’s child version and the whole day is given to us to just play? I wouldn’t want that day to end. I would love to live that day over and over again and I won’t get tired of it but it has to end.

Back in the real world, I don’t just play with my mom. We teach each other what to do. She teaches me life lessons. Right now, I don’t know if ever taught her something…maybe to be more patient because I am definitely stubborn and super annoying.

“When your mother asks, "Do you want a piece of advice?" it's a mere formality. It doesn't matter if you answer yes or no. You're going to get it anyway.”
― Erma Bombeck

Mom, take care always. I love you. Have a wonderful day!

“When God Created Mothers"

When the Good Lord was creating mothers, He was into His sixth day of "overtime" when the angel appeared and said. "You're doing a lot of fiddling around on this one."

And God said, "Have you read the specs on this order?" She has to be completely washable, but not plastic. Have 180 moveable parts...all replaceable. Run on black coffee and leftovers. Have a lap that disappears when she stands up. A kiss that can cure anything from a broken leg to a disappointed love affair. And six pairs of hands."

The angel shook her head slowly and said. "Six pairs of hands.... no way."

It's not the hands that are causing me problems," God remarked, "it's the three pairs of eyes that mothers have to have."

That's on the standard model?" asked the angel. God nodded.

One pair that sees through closed doors when she asks, 'What are you kids doing in there?' when she already knows. Another here in the back of her head that sees what she shouldn't but what she has to know, and of course the ones here in front that can look at a child when he goofs up and say. 'I understand and I love you' without so much as uttering a word."

God," said the angel touching his sleeve gently, "Get some rest tomorrow...."

I can't," said God, "I'm so close to creating something so close to myself. Already I have one who heals herself when she is sick...can feed a family of six on one pound of hamburger...and can get a nine year old to stand under a shower."

The angel circled the model of a mother very slowly. "It's too soft," she sighed.

But tough!" said God excitedly. "You can imagine what this mother can do or endure."

Can it think?"

Not only can it think, but it can reason and compromise," said the Creator.

Finally, the angel bent over and ran her finger across the cheek.

There's a leak," she pronounced. "I told You that You were trying to put too much into this model."

It's not a leak," said the Lord, "It's a tear."

What's it for?"

It's for joy, sadness, disappointment, pain, loneliness, and pride."

You are a genius, " said the angel.

Somberly, God said, "I didn't put it there.”
― Erma Bombeck, When God Created Mothers

To all mothers out there (including mine) : You are all amazing. You have the most noble job. Hard but I know you all got use to our (all children) stubbornness and craziness.
