“Oh my goodness!!!” Ladee and Kim both exclaimed.

Nasa session hall kami ng company at nagsisimula na ang Valentines Ball. Aliff was on the stage ready to perform a song for all of us na dumalo. Gulayness talaga ang peg ng mga single dito. Parang mga teenagers lang. Ang iingay eh! Kinikilig ang mga bruha. LOL!

“Ang gwapo nya Barbz! Sabihin mo single ako,” Ladee giggled.

“Bham wag ka na makisali ah? Hmp.” Umismid si Kent.

“Syempre. Lab na lab kaya kita bham. I’ll just make friends of him,” sabi naman ni Kim sabay tawa.

“Friends ka dyan!” Kent said.

“Don’t worry guys, ipapakilala ko kayo sa kanya mamaya after his performance,” wika ko, nakatitig prin kay Aliff.

“Ang galing pumili ng cousin mo ah. In fairness sa taste nya. Saka yung Kuya Marco mo, gosh, kung single pa lang sana sya,” Ladee grimaced.

“Hoy Ladee wag ka ngang praning dyan! You’ll find your Mr. Right in a right time,” I chuckled.

Naghihiyawan ang mga staff at employees ng kompanya. Overloaded yata ang charisma ni Aliff dito. Sus!

Pinuntahan ko sina Ate Emgee at Kuya Marco dun sa may sulok para ipakilala sina Ladee, Kimberly at Kent. After they got to know each other, umupo na kami sa mga table namin. Nasa iisang table kami nina Ladee habang nasa kabila naman sina Ate Emgee. Afterwards, Aliff started to sing Valentine. Nagpalakpakan ang mga tao. Old song pero grabe yung impact. Not just in the audience, but also in my heart. Ehem!

Pagkatapos, kasunod nyang kinanta ang Forevermore. Magaling sya. Filipino kaya ang Side A band at sikat na sikat sila noon. Di ko akalaing nag-practice ng todo si Aliff para sa event na ‘to. Wow! Awesomeness lang naman.

Maya-maya pa ay bigla syang napatigil dahil may dumating. Isang girl, no, a gorgeous woman na palapit sa stage. Aba! Prepared yata kahit di invited. Nakabihis kasi sya ng formal wear gaya namin. Oh my…I think I know her!

SI HAZEL!!!! Si Hazel nga! Yung kaberks ni Aliff dun sa Singapore na kasama naming gumala. What is she doing here?

“Sino sya?” Nagbulungan ang mga tao sa paligid.

Tumayo si Aliff na tila di alam ang gagawin. Nababasa ko sa bibig nya ang mga katagang “What are you doing here?”

Bumaba sya sa stage at hinawakan ang braso ni Hazel saka lumayo ng konti. Parang biglang may nag-OUCH somewhere in my chest. Ano kaya ang meron?

Lumingon ako kay Ate Emgee with the “What’s the meaning of this” look. Nag-respond naman sya ng “I don’t know” look. Gashong naman ‘to oh!

Nagsimula ulit magsalita ang emcee namin. Tinawag nya ang ibang employee na may hinandang dance presentation para di masayang ang oras. Sina Ladee at Kim panay ang tingin sakin with mixed expressions.

“What?” tanong ko.

“Anyare dyan sa mukha mo?” tanong ni Kim.

“Bakit?” nagatataka kong tanong.

“Is that a sign of ‘OUCH’?” Ladee asked.

“Ha? Anong ‘OUCH’? I’m fine kaya. Excuse lang ha?”

Tumayo ako and without hesitation, pinuntahan ko sina Aliff sa labas ng session hall.

I found them arguing in the hallway. Nagtago ako para di nila ako makita. Pinakinggan ko ang pinag-uusapan nila but I couldn’t understand kasi nagMa-Malay language sila. Nak ng tokneneng naman ‘to oh!

“You’re not supposed to be here!” Sa wakas, nag-English na rin si Aliff.

Sobra akong na-shocked dahil bigla syang niyakap ni Hazel at umiiyak ito. Kumawala si Aliff mula sa pagkakayakap nya pero bigla nyang hinalikan si Aliff sa…..lips!!!!!!! What the F*ck!!!

“What are you doing, Hazel?!” Aliff shouted.

“Please, let’s go home!” pagmamakaawa nito.

Anong ibig sabihin nito? Kumikirot ang dibdib ko. Pakiramdam ko di na ako makahinga ng maayos dahil sa sobrang sikip. Si Hazel? Sila na pala ni Aliff?

“NO! I’ll stay here. I’m sorry. Please don’t do this to Anthony. He loves you!”

“I know. But I love you, Aliff!”

Di ko na kayang pakinggan ang conversation nila kaya tumakbo ako patungong ladies room at ni-lock ang isang cubicle para mag-emote. Ano ba sa palagay nila ang ginagawa nila? Hindi ko maintindihan!

20 minutes had passed…Nasa loob pa rin ako ng ladies room. Gosh, I need to fix myself. Kinuha ko ang pressed powder sa pouch na dala-dala ko and started to fix my make up. Suddenly, I heard someone knocking the door.

“Couz, andyan ka ba?”

Si Ate Emgee pala.

“Ah..Yes couz. Pasensya na ha? Sumakit tyan ko eh.”

“Magmadali ka kaya at nagpe-perform na si Aliff.”

I don’t care!!!

“Bilis na couz. Special performance na nya ‘to!”

“Fine!”

Lumabas ako at biglang tumawa si Ate Emgee.

“You’re crying?” she asked with a silent laugh.

“I’m not!”

“Whatever. You still look beautiful. Com’on. Hurry!”

Hinila nya ako pabalik sa session hall. Aba! Wala na si Hazel. Ang bruhang si Hazel na panira moment!

Pinaupo ako ni Ate Emgee sa table namin.

“Are you okay?” sabay na tanog sakin nina Ladee at Kim.

“Yup,” I answered shortly.

“This will be my last song. This is called “More than Words”. I would like to dedicate this song to a very special woman of my life. The one I met five years ago…” sabi ni Aliff.

Yung mukha ko biglang nag-red! What does this mean? Panay naman ang smirk ng mga tao sakin.

“Five years ago, I had this very special friend I never thought would became very important to me. But first, I would like to say sorry. I never told her my real identity because I was afraid she won’t treat me ordinarily. I wanted to be ordinary. I was happy to be free and ordinary. And I never realized it until I met her. Unfortunately, something in me was unspoken. When I met Emgee in Malaysia…”

Kinawayan nya si Ate Emgee saka nag-smile naman ang pinsan ko in response.

“…I found hope. I knew I’ll met this special girl soon. I was very thankful to her because I am here right now.”

Nagsimula syang mag-strum ng guitar.

Ginawa ko ang lahat para pigilan ang sarili kong umiyak. Ayokong magpahalata sa mga friends ko. I tried my best to listen to him naturally.

After the song, napalakpakan ang audience with standing ovations.

“Ladies and gentlemen, my name is Aliff Aziz…”

“What? Sya si Aliff?” namanghang tanong ni Ladee.

“Sya si Aliff mo Barbz?” tanong naman ni Kim.

I did not answer. Para akong natunaw sa kinauupuan ko.

“…and I want to speak now what was unspoken before,” dagdag ni Aliff.

Bumaba sya sa stage at ibinaba ang gitarang hawak nya. My heart raced in an indistinct manner. Alam kong sobra na akong nag-blush kaya tinakpan ko ang mukha ko gamit ang dalawa kong palms. Lumapit si Aliff sa table namin and eventually kneeled down in front me. Nagtilian ang mga tao at bakas sa mga mukha nila ang excitement. Naku naman! Gulayness, parang eksena lang sa pelikula ang peg!

“Barbie…”

Speechless ako…

“I want you to be my girl. Will you be my girlfriend?”

O.O!!!!

I fainted.

Di joke lang. Di ako hinimatay noh! Kinilig ako ng bonggang-bongga!

“Ahmm…of course yes!”

Boom! Final answer na po yun.

He smiled kaya naging sobrang gwapo na sya sa paningin naming lahat. Tumayo sya at niyakap ako ng mahigpit. For five years, sya lang ang naging laman ng puso ko. Alam kong sya ang Mr. Right ko.

We kissed after our hug and I knew deep inside na magiging masaya kami simula ngayon.
